Opened in 2005 and located in the very heart of Nukus, 100m north from the Savitsky Museum, this two-storey Jipek Joly hotel ("Silk Road" in translation) is a small, friendly, cozy place where the staff are always willing to help you.
The hotel features 20 guestrooms (1 single, 2 twins, 8 semilux, 6 deluxe and 3 VIP guestrooms) decorated in the style of an old Karakalpak house and still offering all modern conveniences: en-suite bathroom with a bath or shower, satellite TV, air-conditioner, Internet access, telephone.
The restaurant for 50 seats offers a rich choice of national Karakalpak and European menus.
The open inner courtyard of Jipek Joly hotel turned into kind of patio represents the lifestyle of a Karakalpak village: a yurt, a bullock-cart, a national oven for making bread – tandyr, a pool. It's a real pleasure to spend a breezy comfortable evening outdoors, surrounded by Karakalpak exotics.
The hotel also features a business-centre and a souvenir shop where one can find various Karakalpak souvenirs and national garments.
